Want to practice speaking in front of others? Want to visit other classrooms? WE NEED YOU! We are looking for students to visit classrooms (at times that fit their schedule) who can spread the word about our cause and share our website information. Even if you can only speak in one class...that is wonderful! Talk to your professors as well, see if they will allow you to talk for five minutes before class. The more people we can get involved, the better.
Speakers WANTED
On Friday March 8th, Kristen and Kayla testified before the House of Representatives regarding Rep. Yarusso's bill regarding the MTLE Basic Skills. The House responded well and the bill was passed. The companion bill was presented by Senator Dahle where Kayla testified before the Senate. The bill was failed after a roll call vote. The story was covered by WCCO where Kayla was also interviewed. The fight is not over as the House has yet another bill!!! Keep the hope alive friends!

07 / DAY AT THE CAPITOL
MACTE had a day on the hill at the Capitol on March 7th. We were so excited to meet 25 new students from across Minnesota who are in support of our cause. We met with several Representatives and had Senators pulled off the floor to meet with us as well.
On March 8th, Kristen and Kayla testified before the House of Representatives and are proud to announce that Rep. Yarusso's bill passed! It must pass through the other committees before becoming final....so fingers crossed!!
Kayla will testify before the Senate on Tuesday, March 12th.
